Position

Sr. System Design Engineer

Job Description

Mixed Signal board Design, development and testing for Post Silicon verification. Build Digital TV / Analog TV platforms and enable customer's to go to mass production.

Desired Qualification and Experience

  • B.E / B.S / B.Tech / M.S / M.Tech in Electronics and Communication (Related branches will also be considered)
  • Mixed Signal board Design: Circuit Schematic Design, Board Layout, Simulation, SI analysis and board bring up
  • Specifying PCB layout requirements and working with layout engineers to get the board layout designed (part creation / placement / routing). Review the Board Layout and monitor rework
  • Selection of parts and proven ability to coordinate with component vendors (discuss availability, cost, support) & schematic entry in Cadence OrCAD
  • Drawing up the Bill of Materials & working with vendors to procure the components for prototype builds
  • Identifying and working with PCB Fabrication Manufacturer
  • Identifying and working with assembly houses / contract manufacturers
  • Lead board bring-up activity, draw up plans for functional test & establish design verification procedures
  • Good hardware debugging capability, getting rework from technician or assembly house
  • Coordinate with software teams to get support for HW / SW integrated testing
  • Must be familiar with the following technologies / concepts: SoC, SDRAM / DDR1/2/3, Flash (NAND/XOR), EEPROM, Power Management ICs, LVDS/dRGB/LCD panel interfaces, Audio codecs & interfaces, UART, SPI, I2C, USB
  • Must have completely owned and executed board design activity through prototype & testing (at least 2-3 boards)
  • Should be a good team player and work effectively with other functional teams like SW design, IC design, IC verification
  • Mixed signal SoC and FPGA based design
  • Exposure to Analog and Digital TV domain will be a definite advantage
  • Exposure to Post silicon verification
  • Exposure to C, C++, Verilog, VHDL and DSP Assembly language
  • Excellent Analytical, Abstraction, Communication and Documentation skills
  • Ability to work with multi-functional, multi-site teams and a desire to work as a team player is a must
  • Self-driven, result oriented individual with a capability to work as an independent contributor
  • Motivated to work in a multidisciplinary start-up environment
