Position

System Validation – Lead Engineer

Job Description

Responsible for developing system test strategies, test plans, and test execution of receiver PHY / Baseband layer of various digital television broadcasting, analog television broadcasting and wireless systems. The position requires close co-ordination with product development teams and the responsibilities include:

  • Develop test plans based on system requirements, high level development documents and standard test specifications in the following areas:
    • Digital television broadcasting systems (DVB-T, ATSC, ISDB-T etc.)
    • Analog television broadcasting systems (NTSC, PAL, SECAM)
    • Wireless (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, Wi-Max etc.)
  • Develop automated instrumentation test software, testing procedures and process for system level testing of new design and modified products
  • Formulate, design and code automated software test systems for functional, stress and regression testing of PHY layer algorithms, using scientific analysis and mathematical models
  • Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports
  • Manage a team of system validation engineers

Desired Qualification and Experience

  • B.E / B.S / B.Tech / M.S / M.Tech in Electronics and Communication (Related branches will also be considered)
  • 5+ years experience in Product and Field Validation
  • Proficiency in handling lab equipments like Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer and Signal Generators
  • Understands overall RF systems and digital / analog communication receiver chain
  • Command over scripting languages like PERL, TCL etc
  • Familiarity with IEEE-488 interface will be a plus
  • Proficiency in C / C++ programming languages
  • Background in systems design will be an advantage
  • Excellent Analytical, Abstraction, Communication and Documentation skills
  • Ability to work with multi-functional, multi-site teams and a desire to work as a team player is a must
  • Self-driven, result oriented individual with a capability to work as an independent contributor
  • Motivated to work in a multidisciplinary start-up environment
