Job Description

The VLSI Engineer will be part of Saankhya’s VLSI digital design and verification team responsible for the delivery of deep submicron designs / Chips for the Universal TV Demodulator market. With guidance from experienced managers and architects, the engineer will be required to demonstrate ability to understand new algorithms / requirements and to design efficient implementations. The candidate will be in charge of analyzing trade-offs between area, power, performance and schedule and for delivering fully verified and optimized designs. Working in tight cooperation with architects and system engineers, the VLSI engineer will specify, design, verify and synthesize digital designs for the Saankhya Platform. Specifically you will be responsible for Architecture and micro-architecture design of the ASICs, RTL design and synthesis, Logic and Timing verification using leading edge CAD tools and Semiconductor process technologies.

Desired Qualification and Experience

  • B.E / B.S / B.Tech / M.S / M.Tech in Electronics and Communication (Related branches will also be considered)
  • 3-7 years of experience in Frontend VLSI design and Verification
  • Solid exposure and Foundation in Digital systems and VLSI design, Computer Architecture, Computer Arithmetic
  • Strengths in Verilog and C / Perl / Tcl are mandatory
  • Verification expertise in System Verilog, exposure to other HVLs is a plus
  • Experience with VMM / OVM / UVM is a plus
  • Knowledge of Embedded CPUs (MIPS,ARM,C6x ) and bus protocols (AMBA,OCP etc) is a definite advantage
  • Must have worked on Complex SoC / IP block design and verification projects
  • Expertise in ASIC / FPGA design flows including simulators, functional and code coverage tools, timing analysis and related tools
  • Excellent Analytical, Abstraction, Communication and Documentation skills
  • Ability to work with multi-functional, multi-site teams and a desire to work as a team player is a must
  • Self-driven, result oriented individual with a capability to work as an independent contributor
  • Motivated to work in a multidisciplinary start-up environment
